Critical thinking
Analysing the medical case and reaching the appropriate clinical decision by a scientific method.
Preparing qualified doctors with up-to-date medical knowledge and advanced clinical skills, through a seven-year programme in academic partnership with Maastricht University.
The Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery programme is one of the University's leading academic programmes. It aims to prepare qualified doctors who hold up-to-date medical knowledge, advanced clinical skills and professional ethical values, to deliver high-quality health care that meets the needs of society and keeps pace with developments in the health sector.
The programme runs for seven years: a preparatory year, five years of study, and an internship year. It is linked by an academic partnership with Maastricht University in the Netherlands.
The college adopts PBL as its core teaching method. Students work through real cases that strengthen critical thinking, self-directed learning and teamwork, and that connect theory to practice.
