The celebration reflects pride in the deep-rooted origins of this blessed state, extending over more than three centuries. The event affirms the close bond between the citizens of the Kingdom and their leaders, from the founding of the Saudi state in the middle of 1139 AH, corresponding to 1727 AD, when Imam Muhammad bin Saud began establishing the First Saudi State, through to the present era.

The ceremony opened with a recitation of verses from the Holy Qur'an, followed by the national anthem. The University President then delivered a speech in which he affirmed that the occasion reminds us of the importance of preserving our cultural and civilisational heritage and of working to instil the values of loyalty and belonging in coming generations. The ceremony included distinctive visual presentations, as well as poems on Founding Day presented by University students. It also featured an interactive exhibition with various sections covering traditional dress, handicrafts, and a hospitality and Saudi coffee corner.

The Supervisor of the Female Student Section, Dr. Wassan Abdullah Al Khowaiter, noted that the Female Student Section at the University marks Founding Day by organising a number of events and programmes. The celebration includes the participation and engagement of the student clubs, which helps connect the present generation with the history of the Kingdom, from the founding of the First Saudi State to the present day.

At the close of the events, participants expressed their happiness and pride in their country's past, affirming the importance of marking such occasions, which reflect the unity of the people of the Kingdom and embody the national spirit, contributing to continued giving and development in a proud and prosperous nation.
