Sulaiman Alrajhi University organised an educational field visit for 74 male and female students from the Clinical Nutrition master's programme to Al-Qassim National Hospital in Buraidah last Saturday, as part of the requirements of the Advanced Nutrition and Metabolism course.

During the visit, the students were introduced to the body composition analysis device (BIA – InBody) and learned how to interpret its reports in order to assess nutritional status accurately. They also took part in an interactive session with a clinical nutrition specialist on ways of using the analysis results in preparing therapeutic nutrition plans.

Prof. Sulaiman Abdullah Al Sagaby, Dean of the College of Applied Sciences, affirmed that this visit comes within the College's efforts to strengthen applied education and link academic programmes with practical training environments, noting that the University is keen to build effective partnerships with healthcare institutions in order to provide an educational environment that contributes to preparing qualified national personnel capable of evidence-based professional practice.

For her part, Dr. Lina Al-Qarni explained that this field visit forms part of the programme's plan to prepare students to work with modern technologies in nutritional assessment, noting that practical experience within a real clinical environment enhances students' understanding of clinical applications and supports their readiness for the requirements of the labour market.
