Dr. Muhammad A. Al-Mohaimeed, University President of Sulaiman Alrajhi University, received the academic partner delegation from Maastricht University in the Netherlands, in the presence of leaders of the University and the College of Medicine, as part of strengthening academic cooperation between the two universities and raising the quality of the Medicine and Surgery programme in line with international standards.
During the meeting, the tracks of the academic partnership were discussed, and the objectives of the visit were reviewed, relating to following up on the curriculum of the Medicine and Surgery programme, supporting innovation in Medical Education, and strengthening integration between the two sides in a way that contributes to improving the programme's outcomes and raising its efficiency.
The mission of the programme and its link to the needs of the health sector were also reviewed, along with a discussion of the organisation of the curriculum and its strengths and challenges, in addition to a review of the mechanisms for updating the curriculum and the mechanisms for academic decision-making through the curriculum committee.
