Sulaiman Alrajhi University organised a blood donation campaign on Wednesday at the University's premises, in cooperation with Albukairyah Hospital.
The campaign was held under the title “Donate today… be the reason for a smile tomorrow”, and saw a wide turnout of University staff and students taking part in this humanitarian effort.
The initiative comes to strengthen a culture of giving and social responsibility, as blood donation is not merely a medical procedure but a noble humanitarian duty that contributes directly to saving the lives of patients and the injured, who are in urgent need of every drop of blood.
A single unit of blood can give hope to three different people, in addition to the health benefits donation brings to the donor, such as stimulating blood circulation and renewing blood cells, making this act a living embodiment of the social solidarity that saves a life and makes a difference.
