The Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Mansour Ibrahim A. Alsoghair, honoured the winning male and female students among the presenters of the parallel courses, in recognition of their efforts and distinction during the academic year and their contribution to supporting the educational process within the College.
The parallel courses initiative is based on peer teaching, an educational approach that has proven its efficiency and effectiveness, whereby academically outstanding students deliver structured educational content to their peers, helping to strengthen understanding and exchange experience in a collaborative and motivating learning environment.
The initiative was carried out in partnership between the student clubs at the College of Medicine and the Campus Life Directorate, and under the supervision of the College's Academic Advising Unit, reflecting the integration of efforts in support of the educational process and student activities.
Over the course of a full year, the initiative reflected the spirit of teamwork and student initiative, and provided a distinctive model of integration between students and the supporting entities within the College.
The initiative achieved a number of results, most notably the delivery of 19 parallel courses with the participation of 324 male and female students, along with 40 quizzes and the presentation of 260 clinical cases.
The College expressed its thanks and appreciation to all supporters, supervisors and presenters, and to everyone who contributed to the success of this initiative, congratulating the participants and beneficiaries and looking forward to an even more distinguished edition of the initiative during 2026, God willing.
