The Campus Life Directorate held a ceremony to honour the male and female students who won the Al-Wahyain Competition in its two tracks, the Holy Qur'an and the Prophetic Sunnah, attended by Mr. Mohammed Nasser Al Brady, Assistant Vice President for Student Experience, the Director of the Campus Life Directorate Mr. Fahad Alajlan, and a number of University leaders, staff and students.
The Holy Qur'an track of the competition included several memorisation levels: memorisation of the entire Holy Qur'an (30 parts), 20 parts, ten parts, five parts and three parts, while the Prophetic Sunnah track covered the memorisation of the Forty Nawawi Hadiths and the book Hisn Al-Muslim.
In his speech during the ceremony, the Director of the Campus Life Directorate Mr. Fahad Alajlan said that the Al-Wahyain Competition brings together the two greatest sources of guidance: the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Prophet, peace be upon him. He referred to Sheikh Sulaiman Alrajhi — may Allah preserve him — and his well-known care for the Holy Qur'an and his support for its projects, noting that the effect of this care extends to this blessed institution and to the initiatives it offers to strengthen students' connection with the two revelations.
He added that the competition saw a large turnout of male and female students this year, an indicator reflecting their awareness of and interest in memorising the Holy Qur'an and the Prophetic Sunnah, and stressed that such initiatives contribute to building the individual, strengthening values and investing in them for the future.
At the close of the ceremony, the Assistant Vice President for Student Experience honoured the male winners, while Dr. Wassan Al Khowaiter honoured the female winners, who received certificates of appreciation, with wishes of continued success and excellence in their academic journey.
