The University President, Dr Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Muhaimeed, inspected the new female student housing building in the university city, reviewing its readiness, fit-out and service facilities, all delivered to the highest standards, in preparation for receiving students at the start of the coming academic year. He was accompanied on the tour by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr Adnan bin Othman Al-Obaid, along with a number of university leaders and members of the project committee. The project committee also organised a visit for university staff to the female student housing, during which they toured the building's facilities and fit-out and heard an explanation of the project's components and the services it provides. The Assistant Vice President for Student Experience and chair of the project committee, Mr Mohammed bin Nasser Al-Baradi, explained that the building will receive students at the start of the coming academic year, with furnishing and fit-out complete and all services and facilities provided in line with best practice in university housing projects. Al-Baradi confirmed that the design of the residential units took students' privacy into account, applying the highest security and safety standards and providing elements of comfort and quality, contributing to a distinguished residential experience that enhances quality of life on campus. The ground floor of the building includes a number of essential facilities: a restaurant, a prayer hall, a medical clinic, a reception lounge and a gym, while the upper floors house the student rooms, fitted and furnished to the highest standards of comfort and quality. The project extends the University's efforts to support its targets for expanding recruitment and admission programmes, strengthening the satisfaction of students and their parents, and elevating the university student experience. It reflects the University's commitment to providing a complete residential environment: the university housing project comprises three residential buildings across a total area of 36,780 square metres, with a capacity of up to 1,350 male and female students. The female housing building is complete and ready to operate at the start of the coming academic year, while construction of the male housing continues, as part of an integrated project equipped with modern facilities and services that meet university housing standards and contribute to a safe and motivating residential environment.
