As part of efforts to strengthen the culture of safety and provide a safe working environment, the University's Business Development Directorate, represented by Medical Operations, organised a training course entitled “First Aid Safety for Facilities” for University staff, in cooperation with the Saudi Red Crescent Authority. The course trained staff in the basics of first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of the automated external defibrillator (AED), as well as how to deal with cases of choking in children and adults, thereby helping to raise the level of readiness and effective response to emergencies. The course comes within the University's efforts to promote a culture of occupational safety and to raise awareness of basic first aid procedures, supporting the provision of a university environment that is safe and prepared to deal with emergencies.
