Sulaiman Alrajhi University, represented by the Digital Transformation Directorate, organised a workshop entitled “From Prompt to Asset: Between Prompt Engineering and Context Engineering”, delivered by Dr. Fahad Alaieri, Director of the Digital Transformation Directorate and Supervisor of the Data Management Office.
The workshop reviewed the concept of moving, in working with artificial intelligence, from writing prompts on an individual and temporary basis to building institutional assets that can be reused and applied in a sustainable manner, contributing to greater efficiency of work and the sustainability of knowledge within the University.
The workshop addressed five main themes: the limits of the prompt and the effect of its wording on results; prompt engineering in terms of structure, constraints and required outputs; context engineering and the role of documents, memory and tools and their ordering before the request; in addition to converting prompts into shared templates and skills as institutional assets; and assessing and judging the quality of outputs and the limits of relying on them.
The workshop was attended by a number of University staff and provided an opportunity to exchange experience on best practices in using artificial intelligence tools, in support of developing institutional working methods, raising efficiency, and building reusable knowledge within the University.
